My family and I went to my father's house Christmas morning as we always do. I have 3 teenage sons and a 4 year old daughter. During the opening of presents a knife is often needed as my daughter wants everything opened NOW so I had one of my Vantage Pros with me. The knife was passed around to different people during the morning. After we left I realized I didn't have the knife. I called my father and he said it wasn't there so I assumed one of my sons had it. They checked and didn't have it. Even though the Vantage Pro isn't an expensive when compared to some of the other knives I carry, it still drives me crazy to lose a knife....any knife. One of my nephews sent a text today to my oldest son saying he found the knife in my father's front yard. I must have dropped it carrying stuff to the car Christmas morning. We've had probably 6 or 7 days of rain and a couple snow storms since Christmas. The knife looks pretty good all things considered. Two spots of rust on one side and none on the other.

That's cool you got it back Jason. Considering the weather, it looks good. Should clean up just fine

I lost a Case Copperhead for a year. ( found in the couch) I thought I lost it while hunting. That knife was about 20 years old. I was sick about it. Glad you found you're knife.

Score one for you and congratulations on finding it. Case closed.

I lost a $10 plastic folder with ceramic blade that I really liked. No trace after months. I find myself wondering about it still. Funny because I have a handful of identical looking ones but that was my favorite because it was a gift from a boardmember on the other side of the world and the others were bot by me. Haven't carried any of the others yet. I hope that it shows up some day. Gotta check the couch again, covered the yard several times...

Glad your posse found it!

I know what you mean about losing a knife - although I haven't lost one in decades, I have had that "OMG where is it!!!!" feeling a couple of times, then I locate the misplaced blade.

A while back I had that scare with my omnipresent Vic Waiter - it has my gym pass on it and goes with me everywhere I wear clothes - literally.

I accidentally dropped it when leaving the gym, and did not know until I got home. I was frantic!

The next day at the gym, they had it there - they knew it was mine because the electronic key pass is coded to me specifically.

I ordered a brand new spare to keep in my knife drawer just in case.....just in case.....

best
