Is it just the angle of the photo or is the blade to handle ratio kind of extreme? This thing showed up in the mail today, so I put it to the challenge... not sure how I feel about it. The blade sure is..... beefy.

Yes. I will probably post a new thread in a day or 2 to go over pros and cons... the blade is almost taller than the handle. I think in this photo the blade looks shorter than ot actually isIs it just the angle of the photo or is the blade to handle ratio kind of extreme?
Nice 120!Not a great feather stick but wast just kicking back relaxing while out in the woods I’m October. I just wanted to get the feel of the 119 and 120 because I hadn’t really used them before outside if kitchen duty.View attachment 2000032
Nice! Can’t wait to see it! Hope you feel better soon! When I feel better, I'm going to do a few with a Buck 110 and then use them to make a fire. I haven't done a one stick fire in over a year!
You are a master at feather sticking! It must be satisfying to watch those catch fire. When I feel better, I'm going to do a few with a Buck 110 and then use them to make a fire. I haven't done a one stick fire in over a year!

Thanks for the kind words! I'm happy with how my skills have progressed with practice, practice, practice. I don't want to be one of those guys who can't take a compliment, but I'm really a beginner compared to some I've seen. If you want to see some really impressive feathersticks, check out bushcraftusa.com (I used to be a regular there and learned a lot from the others). You are a master at feather sticking! I have a new, not-so-original saying: keep doing something, and you are bound to get better at it.Thanks for the kind words! It is really cool to watch them burn. It used to be a little sad to see something that I spent time "creating" get consumed, but after a while I learned to embrace the fact" that's why I made them! And I can always make more as long as I have a decent stick or two.
