Hi.just ordered me one online for 13 dollars and was wondering are they a good knife? Will be using it for just a knock around knive and was just wondering if hit holds a blade and if it is durable?I thought the price was cheap and they usally say you get what you pay for so any feed back would be great.thanks

It looks like a good knife. For $13 it's one heck of a deal. there are more durable knives around, but it's price/quality ratio looks real good.

I Got a Pilot, the bigger brother of the Mantis. Its a good Knife, mine has the 440C blade and holds a good edge(wish Buck would use more of it,in there Knives). There made in China but are of decent Quality, but I don't really care for the blade profile its to fat/wide for me.I have a Buck Mayo with the same steel that I like alot better.

No offence meant, I see it all the time. But, why did you buy one first and then ask if was any good? Wouldn't it make more sense to ask opinions first and then buy it if the answers turned out good?

I have one. Use it for a work knife. It's a nice little frame lock a bit sharp where it shouldn't be(the handle) and the thumb stud was to tall so I cut it down. For $13 a good deal..

Had one take a nice chunk out of my finger, so it's sharp! I like the design and size of the Mantis. Heavily considered picking one up, but the place I order from didn't have one in stock at the time I was ordering other things, so I didn't. For $13, you can't go wrong!

I gave my Nephew one for XMASS last year, he has been really happy with it, works as a brick layer and cuts open heavy sacks alot. Told me just this weekend that it's held up great.
