The Buck Marksman has got to be the sharpest knife out of the box I've ever owned. It is a lot lighter than I expected considering what I believe this knife can stand up to. It is also easier to use one handed than I expected, and built solid inspiring confidence.

I purchased the Marksman for $82 from Amazon, and I have to say you get a lot for the money: Aluminum handles, 3.5 inch 154CM blade, and a flipper that is ultra smooth thanks to ball bearings. This knife is quality.

I find one handed use easy; I pull up on the lock with my index finger and let the blade close on its own. I expected this to be two hander, but its not, and that little fact made my day.

In short, the Marksman has lived up to the hype, and DESERVES a lot more. I'd take this knife over a certain compression lock folder any day of the week.

Buy this knife. Look for a full review in a few weeks.

I just purchased one off the Exchange today, I am eager to try the strap lock system. Good to know you like it. Looking forward to your more in-depth thoughts later this week.

I look forward to hearing your thoughts as well. If you decide its not for you; let me know first. :)

I purchased one of these and I have to admit, it's a pretty impressive flipper.

It holds an edge very well and is pretty easy to touch up. I touch up my knives after a day of use to keep the razor edge on them. I have always been a big fan of the BOS heat treat no matter what the steel is.
