Does anyone know if the Limited Edition Buck Mayo 172 remains a framelock with the front slab being carbon fiber, or is it a liner lock with two slabs of carbon fiber?

I hope it remains a framelock, but wanted to see if anyone can verify.

Thanks!

Scott

I promise it is still a frame lock. Depending on who you talked to, they might not have known the difference between the two.

Indeed it is a framelock and it is very, very nice. One of the most nicely built and finished knives I've ever purchased, including some customs. The action is glass-smooth and it's rock solid locked up. Very thin and incredibly light. Buck did an outstanding job on these. I've had a few of the standard 172's in the past and each had little finishing quirks (though nothing major...) but this one feels like it's right off the bench of a custom maker's shop.

Not inexpensive, I know...but I'm tellin' ya...this things is truly nice. Great job Buck!
