I think it is VERY Cool that Buck Knives is doing some coolaberation ;)knives with Tom Mayo.

My Sons are already planning on buying themselves a few. I will, of course, have to have some of each model they produce.:D Plus I'll probably buy some as gifts and users for friends.

I know that there are many that were upset to hear Tom is scaling back on his TNT production. And still others that had hoped to get on the list and did not.

I have not bought a production knife in a couple of years, but Buck will definitely be getting some of my $$$ now.:D

I think this is awesome! I am glad to see Buck offer some high end stuff. They started with the Striders and am excited they are continuing the trend. I would love to see a 3.5" to 4" bladed model.

No doubt in my mind whatsoever that this is going to be a success for Buck. Hopefully it will be priced at somewhere in the $200.00 range with the Titanium handle, S30V blade and framelock. At that kind of price I think it will sell well.

I love the institution of custom collaborations - it´s a win-win-win situation: the company gains a great design and a potential top-seller, the maker gains more fame and extra money and the customer gets a perfectly thought-out knife at affordable prices.

I´m looking forward to reading the first reviews regarding those knives.

Tom WHO?????:p :D

Awww, once again one of those boring, unimportant makers who try to bash a famous guy, huh Neil? :p ;) :D j/k

Seriously, when are we gonna see a Skirmish collaboration with some reputable production knife company?

Maybe we can get a Buck/Blackwood collaboration. Now that would rock!

I personally don't mind Buck doing both a high end and a low end one. It won't be easy for me to fork out 200USD for a folder, even though the knife knut disease is growing quite a bit.

yup i love collaborations, you can get a custom knife you've always wanted in a scaled down version for a fraction of the cost

Hey neil, a safe queen Mayo? Yeah right! I bet that thing wont gather one spec of dust, there is just no way you can put it down, customized Super commander or not! Just let us know how many days it takes for the SC to become a safe queen:D

Didn't a few makers try using Blackwood for knife handles? Heard they had to stop because it would fall apart with age! :D :D :D

And Neil, I have one of those too ( #02 ) - sweeet!

I HAVE clicked onto a thread, more than once, that said somthing like "Blackwood Hunter" to find someone elses knife with Blackwood handles!!
