Steve,

I have new Buck/Mayo that I just got the other day..The knife is great but it has a slight problem..The lockbar barely engages the blade tang. I got the lock to fail once by doing a light spine whack on my palm. I called Buck to see if they could remedy the problem but they are 6-8 weeks out on repairs.. Whaddaya think..You up for the job? I put up a pic to give you an idea.

I can certainly improve that for you. In a way I'm glad its a Buck and not an Emerson. If it were an Emerson I'd have a bunch of guys in here questioning why I'm picking on their company for a good solid lock.

Unfortunately some bad apples get out there in the hands of end line users when it comes to mass produced folders though and it looks like you managed to get one.

I'll be happy to look it over and ship it right back. I'm behind with jobs but it certainly won't be anything like 'weeks' with me.

If you read post number one my low rider pocket clip thread you can mail at your convenience after that.

Thanks for asking

Thanks Steve..I will do that. I think it may be a combination of the tang that contacts the stop pin(when open) not being ground down enough + the lockbar not being mated properly to blade tang..You'll see what I mean when you get it. Thanks again.

It will be right as rain when I get done with it my friend. Those are actually nice little knives. It may be a simple bur but it might be more also. We'll find out when it arrives. I can fix that and Buck or anyone else will never know I was inside it too so it won't be a bad deal anyway you look at it.
