Being a lefty, I'd choose the BM. But, if I was right handed I'd go for the Buck/Mayo. I've heard alot of good things about them and some have said it's the next best thing to the Sebenza. You can buy one now also, instead of having to wait.

I like to think I prefer tip up carry although my two EDCs are a BM 941D2CF and a Microtech Socom Elite, so obviously I'll go both ways, (at least on a pocketknife).

I've been looking at the Buck Mayo pretty hard, at least online as I can't find one in a retail store to fondle. I really like the idea of a framelock in that size. I used to EDC a small Sebbie and loved it until I lost it. The Mayo is about the same size and materials, but I'm just not sure about a tip down carry in that size.

The 941Ti is certainly interesting. I really love that design and at one time owned five different variants of the 941 (but I'm better now...:)). I've settled on a 941 D2CF for EDC and a 941BC1 with the red handle just to keep in the safe and look at..:) I will say that the handle on the CF version will flex laterally a bit more than my aluminum handled one, but the carbon feels much more organic in my hand than the aluminum. It doesn't get that cold feeling. I guess the Ti would give you the lightness of the carbon with the rigidity of the aluminum, but it would still probably be a little cold to hold.

When you get right down to it, I think we probably both really need to own a Buck Mayo and a 941Ti.

Let's see...

Apart from the arguments regarding frame lock and axis lock, think about this:

S30V with a Paul Bos heat treat.

The Buck/Mayo would be the hands down winner when it comes to performance.

I'd take the BM anyday, fit and finish will be higher, its already a proven knife design.. I would take it over the poor mans Mayo anyday.

I'd choose the Buck/Mayo hands down without even a second thought over anything that comes out of Benchmade. And I like benchmade knives.

First of all there is the blade steel. S30V heat treated by Paul BOS can't be beat. The fit and finish are excellent. The action is first rate. The framelock is industrial strength...

No comparison in my mind..

This is a difficult question! I think I would go with the Buck/Mayo instead of the Benchmade simply to try out S30V steel as it is heat treated by Paul Bos. Then I would go out and buy the BM 941Ti as soon as I could. :)
