Hi all,
I just joined this forum and wanted my first post to add to the already posted kudo's on the TNT 172. I have many folders and this knife so surprised me (the feel, sharpness, and carry) I bought another within days and use it exclusively as my EDC.
Great job Buck and Mayo !!!

Thanks for the compliment.

Hopefully, we will make a larger model one of these days.........

I too totally LOVE my Buck/Mayo TNT!!! It is an amazing knife!! I can't wait to get one of Mr. Mayo's custom knives. But this one fills a void until I can get a Mayo custom. The fit and finish are OUTSTANDING!!! And wicked sharp!!

I, also, am a new member of the forum and the proud owner of a Buck/Mayo
TNT. Of the many knives that I own this is the best. Looking forward to the
next Buck/Mayo collaboration.

Mr Mayo, please stop teasing me;) .I've been waiting for a larger TNT for years now.Maybe we'll see something soon??How about it:D

I have been jonesing.......um, mayoing for a TNT and a TMX for a long while now. When I saw the TMX.... be still my beating heart!!

I've been tossing a Buck 174 into my edc rotation. Made in China,440c, new for $18 w/o a box.Nice knife, but a little heavy.
I have read and heard all positive about this 172 Buck/Mayo collaboration. I've been pricing the 172 for about 6 months, and couldn't bring myself to pay the $150 or more. I just picked 1 up on ebay for $108 shipped. I forsee this Mayo staying in my pocket for a while. I think I'll retire the 174 to my kids or my brother.

Scott, I know you will love the TNT. I picked up mine on ebay as well but for $140 and I feel that was a great deal for this knife. I take it everywhere and have used it quite a bit already.

On another forum someone was asking for recommendations for a "poor man's Sebenza". Would the TNT be a good candidate?

S30V steel, titanium handle and framelock design are all consistent with sebby. I guess the question is how fit/finish and ergos compare.

I used my TNT 172 today to cut a belt and a sheath out of 12 ounce leather. Man did that blade just glide, like it was slicing paper. The best money I've spent on a knife lately. I think that EDC rotation just ended with this blade.
