Buck Mayo Wiamea:frame lock?

I've always like the original lockup on the bucks, very secure and almost no way for it accidentally come unlocked. The liner locks are fast but I just don't trust 'em that much but I use them but never feel as secure as there is the danger of them coming unlocked or due to debris not locking on opening. How secure/tight/frim is the frame lock on the Buck USA made Wiamea? It looks much thicker than a liner of course but there is also the point of the locking part being the handle and subject to movement. Basically I was looking at a Koji folder or a Wiamea and figured I would ask if the Wiamea was AS secure as a liner lock. Thanks for any responses! Bilrus61 PS I decided to pass on the Mammoth ivory Buck 55 as being not durable enough for everyday use ivory wise.

You will like the Wiamea,a little stiff to operate the lock but
that is normal and will work it's way in with use.
I have only edc'd it 3 times.
She is one light and sweet cutting knife.

Bilrus61,

I have confidence in frame locks. They aren't the stronges lock in existence, but they are reliable. Plus as many folks often point out, your grip holds the lock in place while using the knife. If you like the Wiamea, don't let the Ti frame lock hold you up. And while I'm not a steel expert, the TI interfaces with the steel tang in a gripper fashion than steel-to-steel.

I've been looking at the Wiamea.... I've heard good things about the Buck Mayo knives. Does anyone know if it has pivot washers?

:)
