I've got a building project going and I carried my 110 with D2 steel along for use. It mostly sharpened a pencil, dug out splinters and cut a bush out of the way. Still, it handled these everyday chores well. DM

Good for you David. That's the first of the new 110's with D2 I know of that's been put to use.

That electric pole in the background is the last one for the next hundred miles.......maybe 200.

300

My 110 gets strapped on when I get home from work. It was used to slice and dice Shiitake mushrooms for supper.. Easy chore for today.

Thank you gents. Kyhunt hang with us as there is much to learn. 300, how did you know that? Helm, glad your putting yours to some good use as well. Do you have a picture to post of that chore? DM

Very interesting... I have a standard 110 in 420HC (autographed by Chuck Buck, which makes it kind of special, at least to me), and a BassPro in CPM154. Sigh. Guess I better start looking for one in D2... love that steel.

Guys, this is the 110 with D2 steel. We talked about these and the topic went on for pages just shortly back. DM

I seen that in the newsletter I just received a week o so ago when I joined the club. I guess I didn't look at it well enough as it didn't do much for me.I need to pay closer attention.

What a terrific D2 110 to bring to bare on your chores. The sheath is strikingly handsome. And your photos are top drawer. Thank you.

BTW, that is a much larger dog house than you are used to. The ball and chain must be loosening the reigns a bit on you... :)

BTW2, what do you do for water in that dry-baby-dry neck of the woods you call home? Well, delivery truck, rain, spring?

Butter or olive oil, with other veggies. then fry an egg or two and a healthy dose of minced garlic.

Very filling. Next time I grill steak I'll use the 110 to cut it up and post pics. ;) Oh, strip steaks are my favorite.

Oregon, Yes, it would make for a more roomy house for me but it's for her. We have a well. We've received 3.75" of moisture so far this year and we are grateful for that. DM

Forgive my ignorance, but do those mushrooms taste different than your regular mushrooms?

@ David - Great looking knife and a skookum looking building so far.

APF, Thanks and I'd not seen that word. Yet, after looking it up found it's used in your area, the 'NW'. It's the 'pole barn' style of construction used in the SW, perhaps in other regions. Where timbers or ties (in this case switch-ties) are set in the ground and used for corners, anchored. Then the frame is attached and built around them (I used 40d ring-shank) and exterior covered with corrugated tin. Done in this manner it keeps stored items dry, dust free or from sun deterioration as in our case. DM

David, that's a good looking 110... I like the sheath that came with it to... So how do you like using it so far...
