Buck Mini Mentor,Whos Got one ??

Hey Guys..

Ok,,so I'm doing a little browsing today,,trying to swing an new knife to further the Addiction when I come across a lonely Mini Mentor...

I ask the guy behind the counter to look at the knife.. Cool little knife BTW.. I'm thinking,, Hmm maybe a nice little Necker for some small camp chores...

I peel off a $20.00 and get ready to make the Big Purchase... The guy starts looking for the box, sheath and paperwork...

Low and Behold,,the guy can't produce anything but the knife...

"Can't find the Sheath" the guy says...First Wave of Excitement hits!

Well I say,, " Can you give me a Deal on it?"

"You sure you want it without the sheath?" Guys says...
Second Wave of Excitement Hits!

"Yaa I guess" I say....

"Hows about 50% percent off!" Guy says...

I Damn near burst into laughter....

Guy hands me a ticket with $9.60 written on it... ROTFLMAO

I says to the guy.. I'm a sheathmaker,,really didn't need a sheath anyways...

Guys says... "Guess you just screwed me out of a knife! "

I Says,, "Yup,,I guess I just did"!
Thanks I say and head for the till.. LMAO

I put the $20 away and peel off a Tenner and a couple ones....Even got change back...

Now Thats the way I like to do business...!!

So anyone have one and Whatcha Think ??
I think it's a cool little blade,,feels Great in the hand...

Just thought I'd share that with you Funch of Buckers..

I don't have the small one, just the larger version. I really like the blade shape alot, only wish the handle didn't flare out so much at the end. These are both great knives and I'm sorry to see them go (not in ths year's catalog). Enjoy yours Eric!

What a great deal you made Eric. Both the Mentor and Mini Mentor are great knives. I have several of both models in different handle materials. They do feel great in hand.

Yaaa you guys are right it's a Great little knife...

Actually I just got done putting a new edge on it with the Lansky and made a nice little neck rig for it..Wearing it right now...

I can definately see this quickly becoming a well used knife...

BTW..Does anyone have one thet'd like to trade for some sheathing???
I'd like to get one for my boy as he finds it pretty comfortable..

When did they stop making the Mini Mentor's??
I went to buy one on EBAy and there is only one listed
About 6 months ago there were tons of them on EBAY

I have two of them,both are blade cut outs,one is a whitetail marked limited edition 2000,it has a deer head cut out and sambar stag handles,tan leather sheath,the other is a oak handle with cut out and tan sheath.nice knives
