Buck Mini TacLite™ (BU-886BK) made in Taiwan?

I have the B886 Taclite & it's made in the USA. Don't know if this is different from the Mini you're referring to.

Well, here is the website that says "made in Taiwan". Just wondering if it's a misprint. Nice looking knife, I was tempted to buy it until I saw it wasn't made in the U.S.A. It's about 8 knives down on that website, and it's $88. BU-886BK.

No, that's not the one I have. Same size knife & style, but mine has wood handles & 420hc steel, not the ATS 34 & G10 of the one you're looking at. I bought it at Wal-Mart on clearance for $23. It was originally $40. Oddly enough, my cheaper Wally World version is made in the USA, unlike the better one you're looking at. I still have the box...Made in USA. Hate to see that, (Made in Taiwan) but unfortunately, it's a sign of the times. :(

Gary007,
You can purchase that knife, if you are so inclined, from our very own Spark (www.1sks.com) for quite a bit less than what you mentioned. Maybe someone from Buck will come along and clear up it's birthplace. :D

i ordered from them once, took about a month to get my order delivered. Not sure what that was about. Communication by email was vague at best. I prefer New Graham, got my order in days. Although 1sks.com has a great selection.
