Are you saying somebody got a bargain on e-Bay? That would be nice.

:D

He wrote a pretty good description for a crazy person.

It may be that one has to hang onto these a bit longer than he did to get a higher price.....or maybe it was just a bad week for selling on e-Bay?

It's like the last one but it's not on ebay and that guy is crazy for letting it go for that.

Online auctions fluctuate, a knife is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Maybe if the box were present it would be worth more, but from the ones I have watched over the years that is the approximate going rate.
Hang onto it she is a beauty!!
Good luck!

I love that greeting Trax, very nice!!

Both of those went in the $60's...Is that really cheap for a 914???

I've never seen that particular model anywhere else...Kind of cool...

Odd sheath...Wonder who designed that??? :p

It probably is cheap considering most of those were from Ducks unlimited banquets and were won at silent auction???

Not much collectibility for a limited model such as that I guess. Best I can come up with! :D There are other knives with that blade shape with leather washer handles but I cannot recall who they were made for years back? Cabelas maybe??
They pop up every once in awhile.

I was thinking that with brass guard & pommel it would match the 119BR price [new] even though the blade is 1 1/2" shorter, so ~$60's seems like a bargain...but I don't include any "collectible" value, since that is an intangible... :p

It's slowly evolving; as more people ask similar questions, I'll add more links... ;)

I don't care for the shape of the 914's blade. I do like the DU etching....but, that blade shape just looks odd to me....191,192,103 are Ok....the 914 is not for me not even for 60 bucks.

that may also be a value determining factor!

...Yep...I'm with ya on the blade shape thing John...and the "etching" gig just makes it even more unappealing to me...$60 would be out of the question...but only fer me...Oh yeah...It's a FB isn't it?... :p

Well, the buyer on e-Bay ended up paying $66.50 plus a ridiculous $12.75 for shipping which gets us pennies away from $80.....and you can get the big Buck 120 with the cocobola handles for $92.50 and free shipping........

Hmmmm....

Yeah, I was at BKO looking for 119BR prices, and I saw they had the 120BR for $92.60 also...(plus shipping, I think)...and the 119BR for $65.95...

I echo your hmmmm...... :D

BKO has free priority shipping on orders above $75.00.....so you get the big Cocabocalola General for $92.60 .... and that's a deal.

I'm getting a second one for a spare.

:D
