Do you think Buck will ever come out with another multi tool? My son just bought a Leatherman wave which is pretty nice. I see the vintage 350, 355, 360 for sale but they have the inside fold of the tools. I like the idea of outside fold out of the tools. Would love to see an updated version #365 :)

I'm not so sure we'll see Buck offering a multi-tool again. If you have one hang on to it. DM

The Buck XTract is still available. I have not tried one, but it is Buck's idea of a one-hand multi-tool. They seem pretty nice, the ones I have held, anyway.

I doubt they will it's a pretty saturated market that I don't see growling much anytime soon.

Although I would love to see a revamped Xtract with stronger piers since it's one of my favorite designs ever. CRKT just came out with a kind of similar model but it looks way to bulky and ugly and it isn't even all one handed like the Xtract.

I must agree with so many multitools on the market today I don't think Buck will come out with much. That being said if Buck can come out with a revolutionary design, maybe we could see some tool from them.
The X-Tract is a good light duty tool, and the one hand opening is handy. The X-Tract has a good sized knife blade that was a plus for me.

The buck tool was a nice try.
Unfortunately the design with its
Bi-directional pivoting handles
Meant it had an inherent structural weakness.
When forced Over twisting beyond its stop point
would cause it to bend and deform...
A fact known and exploited by its competitors.
The handles by nature of its design
Felt pretty springy for a pair of pliers...

Thanks for all the comments. The X-Tract looks like a nice smaller multi tool, price is right but made elsewhere.
