Buck nemo variations

I HAVE FOUND THESE FOUR KNIVES IN THE NEMO SHEATH.

GRAY MICARTA STAMPED BUCK USA WITH SMALL SERRATIONS.
BLACK PHENOLIC STAMPED BUCK USA WITH RED MICARTA SPACERS.
BLACK MICARTA STAMPED BUCK 122 USA WITH LARGE SERRATIONS.
BLACK PHENOLIC STAMPED BUCK USA WITH WHITE SPACERS.



 
yes nice sampleing... dateing them is never easy..
do you have any full crown stag 124's?
 
Thats the first model Buck made which held the best features;lanyard hole,full tang,micarta slabs and partial serrations all from 1972.A great model.DM

here is mine (at least for another week)
this one made by Mac and/or LR
from the buck custom shop
according to Leroy you could order one at the counter
not ordered a lot as large crown stag is hard to find





and from the left of your center pict i have the third with lanyard and striations

I have the following Nemo's:

Phenolic with white Teflon spacers
Phenolic with hard fiber spacers
Phenolic with Micarta spacers all with no serrations

Micarta inverted two liners with and without serrations

Micarta 122 three liners with serrations and with both inverted and normal orientation tang stamp

Thus, seven so far with plastic Nemo sheath. Two have the original box.

Still looking for the three liner 122's without serrations in both tang stamp orientations if they exist.

Dick, I would love to see all your 124s sometime. I think you may have the most complete collection.

Wow! What a nice bunch of knives! I havent dug into the 122/124 stuff in a while and what I have to dig through is pretty thin in the information department. I can say with some certainty that the white teflon spacered version was the first.
 
The custom shop must have modified the 122 in their version. The original 122 looked far better with the trailing point.DM

Thanks for the complement on the 122/124s. However, I think you and Ron have the best collections of these knives. I am missing too many to consider my collection definitive.

In addition to the two Nemo's mentioned above I still need the following:
First edition Teflon 122/124
An inverted three line 124 with no serrations
The Sam Colt 124
The Daniel Boone 124
A Custom 124 with the 12" blade

I have the rest of the known factory versions of the 122 and 124. Further, I have a wide variety of Custom Shop customs but probably not all the variations and I have quite a few Leroy Remer and Joe Houser customs.

I don't have a camera but maybe we can meet up at a show sometime where I can show you what I have.

Keep look'n for those 122s and 124s. Take care.

Even tho a big Buck [651,122,124,ect.] is not as good a EDC as a smaller one the big ones have a strange facanation to me....Put a 500, a 110, and a 124 on a table and I'll pick up the 124 first...

You and Jerry have a super start on those Nemos. As far as the Daniel Boone, I don't think anyone knows how many were made. I know Joe and I don't. When I was going through the records at Buck that photocopy showed up but there was no supporting documentation. Thank goodness it was a copy of an actual knife otherwise we never would have known it existed. Take care.
