The shape and features somewhat resemble components of a trigger mechanism. Hammer, disconnector, etc.
Some new lock mechanism perhaps?

Comparing it to my other Vantages, yes it does look like the spacer on the end. The recessed area is where the pocket clip sits.

You might be on to something.
The part does look different than any spacers I've got so it certainly could be a sign of an upcoming BOTM or a newer version of a current model.

Some have complained about the Onset's pocket clip not being deep carry, and we all know how much everyone loves the end mount Vantage style clip. The Onset has been out for almost a year, so maybe Buck is addressing some concerns. There have been a few Buck models with end mount pocket clips - Paradigm, Marksman, Vantage... Or, maybe they have decided to bring the Selkirk production to Post Falls - that would make a lot of folks happy!

Looks as if there's 6 new Sprint options coming.
I like my micarta Sprint.
The tanto is intriguing.
And a number of micarta handles.
Maybe I should hurry and order the blue g10 Sprint I've been wanting before it costs as much as the new ones.
Same blade steel...... I just don't like sharpening s30v.
I've yet to buy any of the new 2022 knives.

The 838 autos look like the teaser silhouette and the backspacer pins seem to match the initial picture of spacers this thread.Check out the new Deploy series!

I'm going to grab the 841 Sprint Pro in tan canvas micarta ASAP but I fear that they (Buck) won't ship up here, again. Hopefully the dealer on the West coast will come through again.
