I Have A Buck Nighthawk With A Tanto Blade That I Have Never Used. I Am Now Interested In The Clip Point Style. What Are Your Reviews Of This Knife ? Thank You

Got one in the wife's car.

Nice, cheap, sturdy blade. Comfy to hold and poke things with.

Not really the best slicer in the world, I dare say, but it oughta pry reasonably well with that 440HC. Holds an edge moderately well... not as good at 154CM but better than CRKT's AUS-8.

Hahaha, yeah, "affordable" it is, especially for a 1/4" thick piece of sharpened steel with a fully enclosed handle.

And yeah, 420HC. Ugh, that's what I get for posting past my bedtime.

I was thinking of 440A, which I knew it wasn't, and 420J2, which I knew it was better than (CRKT's 420J2 is scarily bad)... got them all confused.

At any rate, Buck's 420HC is, well, no supersteel, but reasonably good. And easy to put a good edge on, rather than that floppy crap that CRKT uses. ;)

I have always loved the Nighhawks. I think they represent a tremendous value for the money.
Check out the Buck Nighthawk video that is on You Tube, where a guy tries to destroy one.
