What is a better knife for the money? The factory second SRK is about 15 bucks more than the Nighthawk and they are about the same size, so the SRK has to be a whole lot better for me to get it. Which has a more comfy grip? Best steel?
. I have owned both, and the only one that I've kept is my Nighthawk. (I'm also looking to trade my Cold Steel XL Gunsite folder for ANOTHER [bead-blasted] Buck Nighthawk!).
The handle on MY Nighthawk is sooooooooooo comfortable, that I hate to put it down!
The blade of the Cold Steel SRK is "Carbon V"...Just WHAT is "Carbon V", and who makes it? Also, the blade on MY Nighthawk is thicker than on the SRK, and is VERY sharp.
...But it's YOUR choice.

I'll tell ya what...Buy one of the "bead-blasted" models (not the "tanto" version), and if you don't like it, I'll trade ya my Cold Steel XL Gunsite folder for it!.
.
...But I really don't think that you'll want to part with it once you feel the GREAT grip, and excellent balance of the Buck Nighthawk.

It's proven itself over and over again to me, and is often recomended on the forums. In fact, anyone asking for a blade of about that size is bound to get a few people saying SRK! I rarely hear of the nighthawks.
Also, 420HC may be a great steel for folders, but i'd take carbon V any day, even though the composition apparently changes.
You'll never be dissapointed with the SRK. In my opinion, it's one of, if not the best deal in knives at it's regular price. The factory seconds just make it even more so.
