Hey All,
I was informed by a friend here on the boards to pick up a Buck Mayo Northshore as a EDC Beater for a lack of better words. I just nabbed (2) from Cabela's. One for me and the other for my Sons blossoming collection. Any one with any feedback on the Buck Mayo knives in general? I really want to get my hands on a TNT or Waimea or both just looking for the right deal or trade...All input welcome and oh yeah! Good Morning....~kevin~

I had a few of them I picked up for a really good price once. They are really light, and sharp! It almost seeemed too light to me. The aluminum handles were nice too.
I believe they were made in taiwan? Try it out let us know how you like them!

"Will Do" on the feedback ~wh4f~ Light sounds good for a change! The northshore won't get the evil thick cardboard and or plastic cutting chores my other knives have had to deal with for 20yrs. My new job has me in more passive enviroments and situations...~Thank Goodness~ But I always seem to need a knife for something!

I think the northshore would be alright for those tasks as well, its not a toy ya know ;)
It was pretty sturdy!

I really liked the quality on mine, I am sorta kicking myself now, since the pocket clip wasn't reversible for southpaws, I gave it to my Nephew....Now that I know STR can put a leftie clip on one, I may have to get another one and send it to him!

I agree - it may be made in Taiwan - but I've looked over 4 or 5 of these and ended up buying one. All had simply excellent fit/finish - think this one is a "office freindly" knife that doesn't get mentioned often enough . Paid something like $40 for mine from Sportsmans Warehouse - at that price it's a shiny marvel.
Am embarased to admit mine has never cut anything ( prefer tip up carry - yah - needs to go to STR) - would really be interested in some after use reports on this one - basic stuff - edge retention -how hard to re-sharpen ?
