Buck numbers

I like the buck 303 styles and just wondered if there are records as to how many are made on a yearly basis. Thanks for any info

I don’t know how many per year but They are still making and selling them, sorry that’s all I know.

I'm not sure about the sudden drop in '82, but the early 80s were a time of severe recession in the U.S. combined with very high inflation.

Your right Bert as I got layed off from work in 81 for a short period. If I'm reading your numbers right it looks like the camilius made 303 wer the big sellers. Thats interesting. I wonder what the numbers are currently. Thanks again for the info.

No, that's all I have. I got them from Joe Houser when I was working on a 303 project for that time period.

Traditional folders were very popular back then but for younger consumers now most users perfer a single blade locking folder. At least that's what I did. But the 301 I bought in 2014 gave me a new appreachion for them. Having 3 blades that cover 90% of knive chores and especially being able to have a really sharp edge for tasks I want to use without having to stop and resharpen made me understand why so many perfer traditional patterns.

Yeah I know what your saying bucksway, but I guess I'm just old school when it comes to my knives. Little stockman was the first knife my dad gave as a little kid so its hard to stop having one in my pocket. I would like to see buck start offering more handle colors again.
