I was rummaging through my collection the other day and came across my Buck Odyssey ats34 steel. What are your thoughts on this for edc. I have better knives but still any thoughts?

Its a great knife, not a bad blade, but the pocket clip sat the knife entirely too high in the pocket for my tastes. It was one of those folders that almost seemed 'top heavy' on the pocket because of how much was left sticking up out of there when you carried it. At least that is what I thought about it. I had one with the ATS34 blade also and a great carbon fiber handle. Sold it for next to nothing to a friend of mine though. The stainless liners make it nearly impossible to flip the clip on that model so it was easier to just let it go.

It seems pretty solid in construction, though I hve never tested the lock. Trying to copy the spydies a bit tough in its look. Too bad it will never compare to a spydie.

i like the knife but as mentioned above it rides just a little too high in the pocket. aside from that, pretty good knife. later, ahgar

I Love This Knife. I Work In A Retail Environment And I Have To Wear Khakis To Work. I Like The Way It Sits In My Pocket. I Dropped My Blade Once While It Was Open And The Tip Broke Off. Is There A Stronger Knife Blade That Will Prevent This? Or Am I Just A Moron? Sorry, I Am A Rookie, Crudd

Pretty brittle steel for the tip breaking, anyone else have some opinions on this? By the way its a tad heavy in the pocket.

Have STR make a low rider clip and use it.

:D :D :D
