I've had a Buck Odyssey for a very long time (420HC Combo Edge). I've damaged the blade twice and Buck has fixed it twice (awesome customer service). I have a plain edge Odyssey as well. I've seen the ATS-34/carbon fiber models pop up from time to time but they always have a combination edge.

My question is this....was there a Buck Odyssey with a plain edge ATS-34 blade?

Thanks!

Jason

I dunno, but a while ago, I bought a knife that looks a lot like an Odyssey that says
"1 of 2500". The thumb hole is differently shaped and the handle is a little different, but is basically the same knife. Any comments?

my only comment is you're hijacking my thread.

...I am TOTALLY allergic to serrations on anything...I believe that Decaf Dave showed me an Odyssey that he had tucked away in his "Vault" that was ATS34 with a plain edge. I didn't like the knife in the pictures at all but I remember that I was impressed with the way this Odyssey felt when I held it. Let's wait for him to chime in on this question to confirm that it is what I think I remember seeing...He actually does have a few knives that are NOT 110's...:p

I have a 181FL that is just like a 186 but with ATS-34 blade. I haven't seen a 182 with plain blade. The 182 comes in either G-10 or carbon fiber and is all screw construction, the 181 is rivets.

Thank you for the response. That is unfortunate as i would have loved to pick up a plain edge 182.

Jason I have carried a Buck Odyssey as an EDC from the time they came out and have never seen a plain edge in ATS-34. I agree with DarrylS on the serrations and never had use for them serrations. I wanted to try the ATS-34 but the serrations make the blade unsuitable for my trade. As far as the Buck Odyssey it is a great pocket knife for a trade that needs a straight blade and a point.
