I've got a vintage Buck 450 that I carry on the weekends or at home. I've got a Buck 55 that I carry in the office because I can use it at work without frightening people. It just looks so safe. Both are carried in the left pocket. I've got a 110 that I bought because it is an icon, I'm trying to wear it enough that it doesn't look unused when I die. I don't get in the woods as much as I'd like.

Lately I've been considering a one-hand opening knife for my right pocket. I'd prefer thin and no serrations, but long is OK. No clip, I'd want it to be non-obvious. Light is good. I'd still carry the 55 or the 450 in my left pocket.

Please tell me what you recommend. I prefer Buck and I prefer American made, but I'm open to other brands and other countries.

Or just tell me I've got too many knives already. Has anyone on this forum ever said that?

Yes, one of the Vantage models would work well. You can remove the clip but the Marksman and Vantage have that lowride clip. I doubt anyone would even notice it.

I sometimes pocket carry a 271 Alpha Dorado, but that is smaller with a 2.5" blade....
But I really like that model also :)

Then if you want lighter weight, there are the 486, 484 and 482 etc.....shoot.... there are a bunch more one handers as well

Here are the 3 at the top of my list for edc one hander pocket carry
Top 830 Marksman
Middle 345 Vantage
Bottom 271 Alpha Dorado

Thanks, you've given me several ideas in a variety of price points. The 830 would nearly double the cost of my collection, the 345 would come in much cheaper. The Alpha Dorado looks classy.

We'll see what else gets suggested!

Don't forget the 486,484,482.... they are super lightweight and inexpensive.

If you want belt carry, I edc a 277 Alpha Folder alot.
3.5" blade but 8 ounces.... built like a tank!
Would be like carrying a 110 in the pocket though

Check out the Bantam line. I carry the 284 at work in my pocket. Its so light I forget its there until I need it.
