Buck Open Season Moose Skinner has a rattle

Guys

I received the first Moose Skinner today and it has a rattle in the handle. I mean when shaken side to side there is something in the handle that rattles its so pronounced I can't help but almost think that it's by design. There is nothing loose that I can see/feel on the outside is this normal for that knife model? I have two more on order that haven't arrived yet to be able to compare this one to whenever they finally get here(3 boys Christmas presents). It's SN 040/250 if that would make any diffrence. It's a great knife and to be honest the rattle just makes it even more unique but I've never heard of Buck doing anything like that before. If the other two don't rattle I'll have to remedy this one before Christmas or there will be a knife fight in my living room because one kids knife is different from the other two.
 
I don't think it should rattle. The handle is hollow? Why? Maybe there is a pearl in there or a nugget of gold. I would definitely open it up now.
 
My guess is that it's a game call. I rattle antlers for white tail bucks, maybe you rattle this for bull moose?
 
Well I took it apart there is a steel dowel that goes thru the tang and into both scales it appears to be about 1/8" to short to fill the entire space. I put a little piece of waded up paper in one of the scale holes. Rattle is gone now. I would of posted photos but the process to post them was more cumbersome than I was interested in fooling with on my phone.
 
I received the other two Moose Calls today they also have the rattle in the handle, now I have to remove the paper from the first one.
