I was scanning Blade exhibitors to have a plan of the people and suppliers I wanted to make sure I got to see.
I didn't see anything about Buck Knives or BCCI listed in the exhibitors list.
I realized I hadn't heard anything about either being there although BCCI has always had one of the best showings of all.
The BCCI business meeting was on Saturdays and I was looking forward to that too.
What's up? I'm hoping it's just an oversight.

Here's a link to the list of organizations registered.

I just received the June BCCI newsletter by email yesterday. In an article it states that the BCCI will be there good and strong but Buck will not have their own booth but that CJ, Lori, and Joe Houser will be in the BCCI display area helping out,

Ok, We will reign in rumors. A wild and fast running bronc.

As per email to BCCI board members here is the scoop. Newsletter is incorrect.

BCCI gets free tables. We usually have 4 or 5 rows. We likely will be in same spot as always but will be two tables short as Blade Show has a waiting list for "paying" vendors. So we are shouldering in tighter. The BCCI banner will be flying high in its normal way. Meeting still scheduled as normal. BUT, Buck folks have stated they will NOT be able to attend the entire show. Direct words from Joe Houser. BCCI will carry on and like everyone will miss the interaction. No reason was given to me, when I get one I will forward on to you. Some other folks will be absent also. Jimmy's big 500 collection will be absent. But, lots of kids will be bringing displays and be hanging out so they can hear Buck talk. Joe is sending prize and meeting drawing knives and some other special stuff and sounds like stuff I might want some of. Nuff said
So don't miss the meeting.

All,
As 300 Craig stated above, the BCCI activity and display presentations are all scheduled as usual with the exception of two less tables. Joe is sending out some special knives (build outs are included) and we will also have auctions and/or raffles for other special knives he is including. The club annual meeting will be held at noon on Saturday, June 4 in room 103 just as it has been for many years. Three Buck family members were planning to attend this year but due to unforeseen circumstances, they regretfully had to back out this time. After hearing the reasons, I am confident they made the correct call --- but they still will be missed by all of us. I just spent the past weekend with CJ at the NRA convention in Louisville and he is very disappointed to be unable to attend. He said he plans to send his regrets and greetings to be read to club members at the annual meeting.
Hope to see many of you in Atlanta,
Larry

I hope that this is a one time thing as a major Knife maker not having a booth to me is a bad sign.
