What can I say, this knife gets it done. I bought it early this week and little did I know I would be getting to use it as soon as last night. Well I got my first whitetail with my bow and this little knife performed flawlessly in the gutting process. No chips, rolls, or dents in the edge and after coming hair whittling sharp ( really! I was very surprised ) out of the package and at the end of the night the blade would still roughly shave hair. I was not easy on this thing guys, between hitting bone, cartilage, and tuff deer skin, I expected the blade would fair a lot worse. Oh, also, this afternoon I was using the knife to cut nasty and dirty 3/4 in thick rope which I also expected to take a toll on the edge and wait- yup still roughly shaves! So far the 420 HC and the heat treat have me thoroughly pleased. I think I will start using this as a fixed blade EDC. The handle is comfortably and grippy.

After cleaning the blood off the blade ( which sat for maybe 30-45 minutes total ) I cleaned it with soap and water and there does not appear to be any signs of rusting or staining at this time.

For the affordable price tag it's a great addition to any hunting pack, or to the belt of any fixed blade EDC enthusiast.

Sorry- no action shots! And the only blemish on the blade after was a bit of the finish rubbed off just above the tip.
