This is also the Black no slip finish model. Pretty cool knife, my box end flap says 05-04-06. I didn't realize they made the no slip back that far??
Anyway I gave her a quick Paracord wrap and here she is.
Regards Sonny

I've been meaning to post this myself. I went into Wal-Mart Friday and picked one up myself. I haven't had a chance to use it but for the price it's pretty nice.

Mine got them in a few weeks ago, love the knife, not digging the sheath. These just scream kydex necker to me. :)

Gotta check my issues, either the new Outdoor life or Field & Stream has a fairly good write up of them.

Yeah, It really needs a Kydex. The sheath has a plastic back liner in it,
and it was a real chore to get the knife back in after wrapping with the
paracord. If it had a Kydex sheath I'd give it a 10 out of 10, instead
of a 9 out of 10

Nice score Sonny! I believe awhile back it was Joe Houser that mentioned Wally World would be carrying more Buck models in the future.LOL,I guess the future is here.:)

Does this one use the 420HC Steel?

And is it USA made or China?

Okay, I found my own answers. It is 420HC and made in the USA

I have one of these and it real nice, for the price you can't beat it with any of the other neckers out there, plus it's a USA made Buck. I have the all stainless model but read this thread and took a trip to Walley World to pick one of the black ones up...unfortunately my Walmart doesn't have them. I'll have to check around some of the other stores in the area and see if they have them or cross my fingers and hope they will soon. Great score!

Gut your paracord, Thats what I done and it worked great.

I ran into Wally World today to get a gas can and remembered your thread Sonny.Couldn't resist stopping by the sporting goods department to see if they had one. They did so I pounced on it.Wow what a great knife for under $20. It came razor sharp out of the box.Gonna keep it in the pick up for a spare. It was the only new Buck model at that store. The guy at the counter said they just came in and checked it out himself.LOL,as he was ringing me up he said he was putting one back for himself. Thanks Sonny!:thumbup:

I checked a Walmart yesterday for this knife and they didn't have them in stock.
I'm starting to think this knife wasn't meant for me to own because I have ordered this knife on line twice and twice it was back ordered and never sent.

The ones WalMart sell are much bigger than the non-coated versions sold elsewhere. I have both and the balance of the silver uncoated Paklite feels a little better. I like both though. :)

I thought I would get around the problem of my store not stocking these by ordering from their web site and having it shipped to my closest store to save on shipping only to find they don't offer this knife on line and the 110 & 119 are listed as "Not Sold in Stores". :D

A few places online sell all four of them. I still need a couple skinners, but I got distracted buy a few slip joints. :)
