Buck Paradigm Pro?

Got one a couple of weeks ago and I like it. The scales are a little slick and the action is just brisk enough that it can jump out of your hand if you're holding it a little loosely. The blade isn't perfectly centered but it's not rubbing anything and I'm not bothered by it.

Overall I like it a little more than the Vantage Pro I had. The action is unique and locks up solid. The materials are top notch and it's a Buck, plus, I got mine for 1/2 price with my BCCI membership discount so I'm a happy camper.

Thanks Badhammer for your reply. It seems that the knife uses a new opening and locking mechanism; what is your opinion?

As I mentioned it's unique, solid and fast! It's do it automatically but the way it's set up, for me at least, when I flip the blade open my finger hits the bolster and locks it all in one motion.

To close I just flip the bolster and brush the back of the blade against my trouser leg, if using one hand or close it like any other folder if I'm using two hands and flip the bolster down to lock it closed.

It is a pretty strong assist and I almost lost my grip when opening it the first time or two, might surprise you.

Many thanks for your detailed reply. My interest in this knife is sparked by my favorable experience with Vantage Pro. I am going to order one!
