Can anyone provide closer info regarding the Buck Paradigm and its "Shift Mechanism"?
Some pictures would be appreciated too :)
Thanks.

The Paradigm will be availible in August. The Shift mechanism is a new technology for Buck and it includes rotating the bolster to unlock the blade in both the open and closed position. Once the bolster is rotated (in the closed position) you can then use the flipper (assisted openning) to deploy the blade. Hope this helps

I handled a prototype at the Blade Show. I was most interested to discover if the knife was slick to operate. By that, I mean to say I wanted to ascertain if it would take too much effort and dexterity to operate. I was pleased that it did operate smoothly and that the effort was minimal. I was also told that Buck was still "tweaking" it because they wanted it to be even slicker than the prototype. CJ Buck indicated that they had made progress in this attempt and that he was certain the production models would be even better than the prototype.
