Greetings folks.

I had gotten some grit into a relatively brand new buck paradigm and made the mistake of taking it apart. Obviously it can't be put back together very easily!

I failed at putting it back together, so I just took the whole thing apart.

It is s30v steel and I believe I lost one of the very tiny springs for it. If not I'll just make a knife out of the s30v blade.

Cheers to my stupidity!

Thanks y'all!

prdough,

Put the parts in a box and send it back to Buck. They will fix it for you, it may cost you about $7.

You need to turn on your contact info for PM's and FYI, your last sentence is against the rules in this part of the forum.

I figured since their warranty states that it doesn't cover warranty for blades that were affected from tampering, they wouldn't accept it. Also, in taking it apart I lost a tiny spring. I guess it's worth a shot though.

thanks JB!

Ok, I edited to follow the rules. I also think I allowed PM's. This is foreign to me, pardon my ignorance.

prdough,
you could try to phone them first if you like. They really work hard at making customers happy .

Buck is a fantastic Company and has great customer service. Call them and tell them just what you said here, they will be happy to help you. You just may get it fixed for free under the warranty anyway. But, trading your $100 or more knife for a $20 knife is silly. Let us know how this turns out for you.

Ok, thanks guys. Very Helpful! I will call them tomorrow and report back.

Its not really a knife anymore, just a collection of parts. haha. I'll give 'er a shot.

Thanks!

Got on the horn with Buck this morning, and they said they would take care of it! Yippee!

Thanks JB for saving me about 100 bucks!

Buck has proven yet again why they are my favorite knife company!

I have the 119, the 503 prince, the Mini-Alpha Hunter (420HC), The Buck Vantage Force Pro (s30v), The Buck Alpha Hunter (s30v), the Lux Pro (s30V), and a Bantam (420 HC). I also have this Paradigm (S30V) in pieces, but soon to be made whole!

My first deer I ever got when I was about 12 I gutted with the classic 119. I have been hooked on Buck ever since.

I EDC the Vantage Force Pro, and am out in the woods with the s30v Alpha and mini-Alpha every time I'm hunting. The lux pro for when I'm suiting up for a work party or a client meeting, The Bantam sits in my truck's console, the 503 in my briefcase, and the 119 is in with my emergency kit in my truck. And the Paradigm (s30v) has been chillin in my bedside drawer in pieces because of my idiocy. Until now!

Buck...YOU ROCK

I'm glad to hear you like your Paradigm. I got one this year, the Pro, and I like it too.

I was also glad that Buck is taking good care of you. Congratulations on your new Paradigm.
