I have often looked at the Buck PBS and thought it would be handy in the field. I hardly ever see them posted. Anyone have one? If so how do you like it? Any pictures? I cant do much of a search with just pbs.

Portable Butcher Shop: Cabela's has a Crosslock with S30V steel that looks interesting with knife blade and bone saw, two blades, folding and locking.

I have the older cross lock version and love it. It's a very handy compact knife/saw combo. I always carry it big game hunting. It's very versatile.

I thought it was the same frame as the crosslock but wasn't sure.

P.B.S. and all this time I thought that was the Selector with blades.........300

Picked one up on a whim last year thinking it'd be nice hunting tool. I forgot that I haven't been hunting in nearly 20 years though so i havent used it yet.

LOL sit. Yes it was listing badly to the passenger side. Probably giving one of the customers (AKA horse) a lift but I didn't see who/what was sitting in the passenger seat. :)

Thanks for the reply. Now that I know what it means I seem to recall that term being used in the past. I've got a couple of the Solitare Crosslocks but non of the PBS models. Might have to pic one up.

I used one backpacking for a few hundred miles. Not what it was intended for, but I carried it anyway.

Mine fell off my pants pockets a couple times. I needed to make the pocket clip tighter.

It was hard to get the feel to always open the blade side when I wanted it. I did get better, but many times I ended up opening the saw blade.

I like having a small saw blade with me in the woods. I just wish I could have one on my favorite...the 110, kind of like Puma has on their vintage Game Warden model. That would get lots of woods carry with me. :)
