Buck Print AD for the NEMO dive knife

MBJ, there are some here who have those in their collection . They may post a picture once they see this info.. DM

the 122 Nemo was introduced in 1967 possibly contemporaneously with the 124 Frontiersman. The ONLY difference between the two is the sheath--leather for the Frontiersman and a dive sheath for the Nemo. The first ones had white teflon spacers on the handle.

My white teflon spacer 122 is not as perfect as the one in this borrowed picture:

The next version from 1967-1968 is the same knife with red bone hard spacers on the handle as shown on my Nemo:

There were many other later versions of the 122/124 and here are a few of them:

Finally here are a couple of 1968 Nemo ads:

Tele, Thanks for the great photos, a inverted 3 liner 124 and 2 liner . Man-O-man ! It doesn't get much better than that . You motivate me to post a photo of my 124's . My camera doesn't give the detail as your but I still like the model 122 and 124 . Thanks . DM

I'm currently trying to find a Classic Antique Knife.: A Nemo BUCK Knife - possibly a #122 - circa 1967-1973 - "Mint Condition".

Could you lend me some help on this?

Many thanks in advance,
Ian

Awesome photo's Tel....you just gota love the 122,124's:D.

Ian, you and a few hundred other folks;) keep an eye on the auction sites.

In my pile o Buck's I have a few of the early 122/124's. I also have a white spacer 122/124 but I don't know witch as it did not come with a sheath. I have two of the red hard bone fiber speacer knives one of them is a 122 and came with the Nemo sheath (got it here on BF in the knife sale section), the other RB one is a 124 with flap over sheath. Still on the hunt for the 2 liner with micarta spacers (it never ends;)).

There is a guy in town that claims to have some Mint in Box that he bought from a dealer but he's never shown them to me. I offered him a C note for a 119 that had an unusual handle ( wood) and he balked at it. I've been told he wants way too much for them.
