Mr. Buck,

I have about 40 of your knives, consisting of different models, mostly collect the older stuff, The Camillus, Schrade contract stuff. I recently aquired a 309 model, I would assume it is made in Post Falls, The blade for one wobbles which shouldn't be for a NIB knife. I paid retail at a hardware store. No. 2 the blade looks like it was broken because it does not even go new the end of the knife frame like it should. I hope that one day someday, your knives will be back to Made in USA. I am disappointed in current quality and wish Buck quality would come close to Case, because for 5-10 dollars more, you get Case quality. I am sorry to be negative, but my hard-earned money is just that. Hard Earned!

Thanks for Reading.

If you hate to be negative than don't....
Maybe next time you should look at a knife before you purchase it...

I have a fairly decent collection of mint condition early Case knives, and I can tell you that even some of those have flaws.. Instead of trying to stir the pot and get a reaction out of everyone, you should at least have the intelligence and class to contact Buck with your concerns before coming here and making the statement that Buck knives are lacking quality..

P.S Tin Sue I wasn't going to feed the troll, but after reading stupid threads like this, ya have to vent once in a while..

I can tell you that not many will bite the bait here skip,we know exactly what Buck the company is ,and we know what they will do for their customers, and thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat is all i have to say about thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat! Not to mention the great people at Buck that DO make U.S.A.made knives....where'd you think post falls was?overseas?LOL

I've probably owned 4 or 5 hundred Case knives in the past and still have 75 or so and they can't hold a candle to Buck quality.Let alone warranty.I have owned brand new Case knives that the very grind on the edge of the blade would rip your skin. You are blowing smoke!!

Folks,

I addressed this to Mr. Buck

If you can't spell your last name, you shouldn't be even responding to the thread!

Now Whom is blowing smoke!

THE BUCK 4-EVER WARRANTY

The Buck Knives 4-Ever Warranty is pretty much what it says. A Buck Knife is built to last. But if for some reason, your Buck is defective due to materials or workmanship, you can return it to us for repair. No matter where you bought it.
We will repair your knife, including parts, labor and or replacement with a new knife at our discretion. Keep in mind, repair is not always possible or practical. We will replace your knife with the same or one that is comparable if your knife is no longer available. Please note if your knife has sentimental value when you send the knife to us.
There are all kind of posts on this sub forum where Mr. Buck and his associates "make it right"
One of the reasons people like Buck Knives and why they have been around for so long....:D

I cannot speak for your 309, but all of the Buck's I have are TOP NOTCH. I used to spend my money on Spyderco, Benchmade, and even have a couple Chris Reeve Sebenza's. I bought a 110 after reading the reviews on the forum here.......and was absolutely SHOCKED that you could get SOOOOOO much knife for so little money. I am now addicted to the 110 and own many variants of the knife (my favorites being the AG stag and the BG-42 Micarta). The only issue I have is trying to get used to not being able to open my knives one handed. I like the fact that the majority of their knives are US made and the top dogs are VERY accessible should you have any questions or concerns. I feel confident in saying Mr. Buck will address your complaints and make things right by you......a company cannot make it as long as Buck has without great product and customer service. I hope it all works out for you.

Take care, Mike Arnold

You are right about the quality. The 309 I bought was sight unseen. I would have posted a pic but the quality of my camera-phone is poor. When I get to work, will post a pic. Buck has always been good to me and would think that this event would be no different. I have always been partial to Buck considering have owned one since was 12 and I'm 44 now.

Thanks,

Sounds to me like you got a bad one for sure.
It happens to the best of companies from time to time....somehow a bad knife slips through the QC process.
This is why companies have WARRANTIES.
If companies never a had a bad one somehow slip through then they would not need warranties.
Heck, even Case has a manufacturer's warranty....and some bad Case knives certainly manage to slip through the QC process.

Or you might have a knife that was bought, damaged, and then returned to the hardware store.
Who knows?

Regardless, just send it back to Buck and I'll bet they will make things right for you.

And as far as quality goes....
I've owned Buck, Case, Camillus, Schrade, and plenty of other knives, and I can say with 100% honesty that Buck's quality is better than most and inferior to none.

Good luck,
Allen

We had a real good season here, allot more big bucks this year I guess it's from all the feeders that are out there. More land owners are puting up feeders, I guess that is a good thing..........

I'm a little confused. In your original post you say you bought the 309 at full retail from a hardware store, but in #10 you say you bought it sight unseen ...

Yes, you did address it to Mr.Buck, but the way you worded it, it appears to be more of a slam. You would have gotten better responses if you would have just voiced your concern, instead of stating that because of the issue with this ONE knife, that Bucks products lacked quality......

Rest assured that if you have an issue with a product, and handle it diplomatically, they will take care of you.

We tried feeders but the black bears ( got lots of 'em ) and hogs tear them up. Most folks around here plant food plots for the deer. As a side bonus it keeps them off the 4 lane right-a-way. I hate using a good Buck knife to dress out roadkill.
