is this a sleeker version of the Vanguard?

The Quest (with guthook) and the Vanguard (no guthook) were new in the 1991 catalog. The size of the Quest guthook was functionally too small. The guthook was redesigned larger and the knife relaunched in 1992 with a new name, Zipper.

Compare the guthook on the 1991 Quest with the redesigned 1992 Zipper
