What's the skinny on this one? I'm liking the pricing, and sheath looks fine to me. I don't need anything fancy.

Its a decent knife for the price point, the coated finish is just ok if you ask me but over all a good knife. The sheath could be better if it was made of condura but again for the money what can you expect...

The coating may be my first experiment at stripping. I'm also thinking that the steel is a good choice for easy sharpening. I may go for it.

Already did it and had the steal done in a brushed look. It came out great, I had a custome handle put on it and end up selling it for about double what I paid. I had Heath Stone from Stone Knife Work do the work. stoneknifeworks.com

Very nice. The Mrs was eyeing one for a camping chopper, but we decided to go with my Hoodlum.

Is it wrong if I keep opening that picture! Man, it's just a great look. Why did you sell it?

Well I wanted to test out the feel of the new product for one and for two I wanted to see what it would look like with the coating removed. Like I said, I had Heath remove the coating and replace the handle with an olive linen micarta slab handle and although I really liked it, it wasnt quite what I was looking for. All in all it was cheaper than most knives on the market after all the bells and whistles were added, so I figured someone would pick it up without any money lost, and I passed on the savings to another Blade Forum Brother.

Believe me if you want one Heath would be willing to knock one out for you. Stoneknifeworks.com

I really like mine
