Questions about Bucks refurbishing service:

1. Who do you contact or send knife to?

2. What is the cost?

3. Can/will they work on a knife that has engraved bolsters but is otherwise stock?

4. Can/will they reblade a bolster an engraved knife?

Finally, i remember reading somewhere in this forum that if sending a knife to Buck you should not put Buck in the address but something else....what was that?

Any relevent info would be appreciated

THANKS. :)

if the front bolster is engraved buck wont do it i dont think...
and you have to expecct that who ever would do a reblade that
they will not re-engrave the bolsters!
it is jest one of thoes things .. now if you want the engraveing taken off ...
well that can be done i think...
tough call ...

I usually only use a company's initials when I ship anything: Buck = BKI; Case = WRC. As long as the street address, and especially the zip code, are correct, it'll get there.

According to a UPS driver I knew 4-5 years ago, packages with drugs, or what was thought to be drugs, were usually the most common targets. Anything marked Pfizer, Abbott, etc. was watched very carefully during transit.

I had a "hold my martini and watch this" momment last year. I used my finger groove 110 to open raw oysters at a party. Honestly, I thought it would do just fine. It was a Buck. Well, I broke the tip off plus a few more pieces, after I said, "It's broken, WTH(heck)." I met Joe Houser at the Oregon show and he said to mail it to him. Last weeke I sent it in and got it back today. They replaced the blade, buffed the brass, and refurbished the cocobolo scales, all in a weeke. It looks like a new knife!

Kudos and thanks to Buck's customer service department!

Regards,

BJ

I can not say enough good things about Buck's customer service. They are a great group and I buy a lot of Bucks because of it.
