After years of use (and abuse) the pin holding blade to handle on my old 110fg wore through. I replaced the knife about a year ago but held on to the pieces. A friend of mine told me I could send it to the factory to be repaired. Is this true and if so what would be the cost? It was a tried and true friend and I would like to be able to hand it down to my children.

All BUCKS have a no hassle, lifetime gaurentee. I doubt there would be a charge of any kind - simply send it back to BUCK and ask them to repair it under warranty. Since you indicate you want to pass this one down the family tree, make sure you tell BUCK to repair, not replace.
