I would imagine that at some time or another most of us have had to send a knife back to Buck for a repair. Our Rework Department consists of one man, Efren Reyes. He has been working for Buck for over 30 years and most of that time has been in the rework area.
One day Efren took out a 3 ring binder full of letters. He told me that he saves every letter he gets back from a customer thanking him for a job well done. Efren takes a LOT of pride in the work he does and is always asking me if he is doing a good job. He has over 350 letters in that binder and he told me that he can not retire until he has 500.
I know that some of you have had the pleasure of meeting Efren and you know that he is a great guy, humble in what he does, and very caring when it comes to our broken Buck's.
I have a favor to ask, If you have sent a knife in for repair, and were happy with the work Efren did, could you take the time to send him a letter? With the planned move of Buck to Idaho, Efren will be retireing soon and I thought it would be great if he had those 500 letters. He needs less than 150 more. If you want, you can email one to me and I will print it out and deliver it to him. Either way would work. Maybe you have a friend that does not frequent the forums and you could ask them this favor too.
I hope this is not too much to ask and I can promise you that the effort will be appreciated.
Thank you,
