Does anyone have one of these assisted openers. I noticed one at Wally World when I bought my Kershaw Blackout. I did a quick search, but didn't find too much.

had one in my hand today, seemed like a good knife. i liked it better than the kershaw leek, that's for sure. felt better in my hand, like buck is known for. i'll get one, i'm sure.
also, for a little more $ you can grt it in ats34 steel! can't remember where i saw that. on their website maybe.

I have one in ATS-34 steel. I really like it although I haven't really used it yet. I got mine from Smoky Mountain Knife Works for sixty dollars. Handling one in 420 HC at Wal-Mart convinced me to buy one but I decided to spend the extra fifteen dollars for ATS-34. I also have a Kershaw Leek (Rainbow) and I like it also but I do believe I prefer the Buck Rush.

i'm only getting the 420hc version. i know me, just going to watch TV and "flick it"!

i'm going to say the 420hc versions are going to be imports and maybe the ats34 version is domestic. that's my guess and i'm sticking to it!

how about someone else? any Buck savy persons know the answer?

Looking at the pictures of the Rush and the new Tempest on the Buck Website, ALL clearly have stamped U.S.A. on the blade under the Buck name. If I bought one online and it was an Import I wouldn't be happy.

I sure like the larger size and blade shape of the new Tempest. I was hoping Buck would do something like this so I would have an excuse to buy a knife with the ASAP technology. I think I'll get the ATS-34 version.

I have both a Rush in ATS-34 and a Tempest (the big brother to the Rush) in ATS-34. I like them both, but find the Rush is only good for smaller tasks, since it's quite a bit smaller in person than it looks on the web. For my hand, the Tempest fits much better. You can get either one pretty cheap (~$50, depending on the steel) on eBay. That's where I got mine.

I can also let you know that, when I visited the Buck Factory in November, I got to see them making Rush models, right on the floor, so I KNOW that one is as it says on the blade- Made in the USA.
