Buck Selector blade $40+ each?

Saw an auction on sle-bay for a pair of them for over $80. One seemed to be a less common version. However, are those blades really going for that much these days?!?!?!

I thought the economy was in the toilet! However, see lots being paid for these and the other crazy auctions which others have pointed out here for Buck stuff.

Makes me wonder. I may need to empty my safe soon!:cool:
 
Wow! Someone is making out there. I remember buying those blades on clearance at Gander Mountain for something like $3 each ages ago. Bought those before I had the knife, then got 2 for $16 each.
 
I bought a selector knife with 3 blades MIB a few months back for less $ than one of those blades sold for.
 
I agree with Tin Sue . Several people have told me there were fewer of those skinning blades mfg.. Thus causing it to be hard to come by . DM
 
FYI....

I did a quick check and found out that there were about 3000 of the skinning blades sold as apposed to about 7000 of the Clip points, which were probably the most popular.
