I have the chance to acquire a 42201 Selector and am wondering if the blades for the new Selector will fit the older handle. Also does anyone know how many blades there are?

I don't have a new selector to try one of the older blades in but I don't believe they are interchangeable.

There are at least 10 blades that I can think of.

drop point
Skinner
clip point
hawkbill
saw blade
guthook
guthook serrated (partial)
clip serrated (partial)
drop point serrated (full)
hawkbill serrated (partial) Added thanks to David.

Here are some of my selectors. I have added quite a few since this picture has been taken.

A nice collection. Hawkbill serrated, = 10. Since it was a workman's knife they added the hawkbill as a linoleum blade.
For those who work in the building trades. Turns out the hawkbill blade makes a dandy pruning blade. The fully serrated drop point blade works well as a prunning too. Plus, most all of the blade w/ this model are of 425M steel. A good plus. The saw blade lacked enough length to be effective. So, I
made me one a full 4 1/2" of L6 steel. Which really works. DM

David - Thanks. I forgot about the serrated hawkbill even though I do have one in the picture I posted. I will add it to my list.

Yes, I saw it in your picture. I've not come across those 2 blades in my travels or at shows.? They show up on the bay. DM
