What ever happened to the
Buck Selector and when was
it discontinued?

I bought one in the 80's.
I couldn't find much use for
the 50/50 blunt nosed blade
so I ordered a saw blade for
it. This was a nice lightweight
alternative to the 110.

rebus, while a good idea changable blades have never sold very well.
Gerber, Case & Buck have all had these types of knives. They just
get fearful heavy and complcated to carry /use.

Rebus,
The Selector first came out in about 1989 and had two blades. One blade could be removed and one blade could not. We soon redesigned the knife to where it only had the one interchangeable blade. THis one was called the V52 Selector. You could pick from about a dozen diferent blade types. I get more requests for this knife! It was a great one for the pack because of the liteweight handle. The last Buck catalogue they appeared in was for 1995.
Hope this helps.
