I bought a well used Buck Selector at the flea market today. It has a stained and reshaped blade, but the handle portion is still pretty decent looking and seems to work fine. Does Buck still have any of the extra blades? Or does anybody have a source for a couple? I would like a knife blade and a saw blade, will consider others. Also, when was the Selector discontinued? Thanks for any information.
 
You can find auctions for Selector blades, handles, and total systems fairly often on eBay. I have purchased a fair number of Selectors and blades in this manner over the past year or so. I think they were discontinued around 1989 or so as Buck moved to the new style BuckLite. It could even have been a year or two earlier, as they were kind of a weird product at the time, IMHO.

My wife has been searching for one for me. The right one hasn't come along yet but I'm sure it will.There are two auctions right now for blades alone on Ebay.
