I am an avid knife collector but I also collect sharpening equipment. I have some of the BUCK Stuff but I know there is a lot more out there. Is there any website or other resource to where I can find out about all of the past sharpening equipment that BUCK has marketed?

Also I have one their really, really old "Hard Arkansas" Stones ( early 1970s). It is a small, white opaque stone that really is a good grade. I still even use it somewhat on putting a final edge on small pocket knives. I would like to know if any of you know the straight scoop about that particular stone. I was also told that particular grade of novaculite was completely mined out several years ago. OK I'm all ears :)

I am dumbfounded that some of you hard core BUCK collectors haven't also taken a fancy to some of their top notch sharpening equipment. I do distinctly remember that BUCK was one of the first companies to come out with a Sharpening Guide to use with sharpening stones. Also that flat sharpening STeel ( MOdel 137) which came in a sheath was indeed a very useful tool.

Spydo:
I have several pieces of Buck sharpening gear. A 136 Honemaster, the angle setting blade clamp on device in the plastic box,a 137 Steel and a Buck Edgemaster.
The edgmaster is a shirt pocket clip device like a large pen. It has a rod which extends by turning a knarled ring at the end it it acts like a pocket steel. About 4 inches long.
The Steelmaster 137 has a chisel end on it which I think is used as a pelvic bone splitter when cleaning game. It has a leather belt sheath and slides in and out of a stainless holder/clamp device.
The Honemaster was used by clamping the device to the blade to guide the honing angle.
Most of this I'm sure you know but I posted for some who might not be familar with some of the older Buck products. I have had this stuff since the 70's and don't know if it is still available.
