I have never cared to much for the assisted opening knives but I do have a couple of Sogs. During my spending spree on the web specials I did order a Sirus. I have grown to really like this knife. I love the feel of it. It is going to get a lot of use. I am going to get another before they get gone.

I got one too from the specials. Mine has an eagle on the side. I do like the way it opens, more of a balance open, then a big shock. It is a good sturdy knife. I think it will see a lot of use.

I do kind of wonder if the knife makers have gotten too tricky. By making a non-switch blade "swith blade", I wonder if US Customs made that rule for assisted openers because the knife makers have gotten around the ruling? I know this rule doesn't affect this knife, since it is made in the US, but I do wonder.

In my profession, the black Sirus is an outstanding answer to EDC and so I am never without it! The one day it was left home, I lamented it.
