The tempest/sirus line are great knives!! I carried one forever until the Vantages came out :D

Someone actually sold one on BF awhile back with carbon fiber inlays, (I was too slow to score it myself :D) and Bass Pro sold one a year or 2 back that had cherrywood inlays. Sweet knives!!!

Those are inlaid in the gap in the frame, correct PFI? I have seem some things like that. I wonder if you can overlay the entire frame with, say a 3/16" sheet of micarta or g-10? If you did it on a Tempest, I expect it would cause a cleaning issue as stuff would collect in the frame.

Yes, you are correct!

Thanks Jim,

Those look good-I wonder how they work for slip reduction per kids question?

Probably not much help, LOL I misunderstood what he was looking for! I had one with the cherry inlays, and it wasnt really any different than my sirus. I really liked the tempest/sirus, but the vantage has a much grippier handle plus its alot easier on the hand. Thats pretty much why I switched.

I would say you probably could put some scales on the sirus, but then it would also make the handle that much thicker and also the pocket clip would need to be moved or modified. Anyone ever use any of that spray on bedliner? :D ;)

That would be great if you could keep it out of the works:thumbup:

Congrats on the Sirus. I picked up a couple a while back when they
were on sale. Great Knife!
Regards Sonny

Welcome to the Buck forum kidcoyote,
The Sirus and the Tempest are one of my favorite EDC Buck knives. However, the scales are aluminum not titanium.
