I'm thinking that I would like to try a Buck 301 or 303. Does anyone happen to have a picture of either or both of them next to a Case 6318? Just trying to see which one is most comparable to the case medium serpentine stockman. After carrying Case knives for over 40 years, I all of a sudden want to buy a Buck. No particular reason why, just curious I guess. Thanks in advance!

The Buck 301 is 3-7/8" OAL (closed).
The Buck 303 is 3-5/16" OAL.
The Case 6318 is 3-9/16" OAL.
Of course these can vary by 1/16" depending on when it was made. OH

Ps My "sweet spot" is the Case 6318 or Schrade USA 897UH for EDC. The current Bucks have slightly rounded bolsters so they carry nicely as well.
PPS I haven't taken a photo with the Buck's, but here is the Case 6318 in the middle compared to the Old Timer 8OT on top and 34OT on bottom (same size/style knives as the Buck 301 & 303 respectively).

I don't have pics of them side by side, but I do have pics of a couple of them in my hand.

The Case 6318 is between the 301 and 303 in size. The 301 is a bit bigger, the 303 a bit smaller.

Sorry I didn't have a chance to do a nice line-up for you of all three.

The 301 is a heck of a good sturdy user knife. It's a 3-spring model so it's a bit thicker than the Case '18 line.

Here's a pic of it with all three blades open.

If I were a working man and actually needed to use a knife regularly, instead of just play with them and take pictures, it would be in my top 3 for carry knives.

Just ordered my first Buck, a 301! I'm looking forward to it. Thanks again!

I have had all the more popular 300s from the Lancer on up but for some strange reason I never acquired a 301. I just got one about 3 weeks ago and I'm very happy with it.
