Not sure they were sequentially numbered if not. Therefore, you may have #1 of 100, not #1 in the series if that makes sense.

In either case, sweet knife! I'm not that familiar with the bowies so I can't help on value, sorry.
 
Based somewhat upon the number on the box and especially on the 001/100 serialization, I would say this knife is definitely serial number 1 of 100, not just one of 100 made.
 
Good catch on the box number! I didn't notice that at first and concur with you.

I ran into thinking I had #1 of a knife in the past to later find out I had 1 out of 1000, not #1.
