Hi,

I would search for reviews of this knife, but the search feature was apparently disabled.

Can anyone give me a link?

Thanks in advance!

Whammy!

I just did that and the knife even got glowing reviews on here... so I guess that was a good investment. ;)

Thanks. ;)

Buck has made the special 119 for something like fifty+ years with little or no change in design so something got to be right with it.

It seems like the only changes on the 119 are diferent handle treatments offered occasionally, and changes in the sheath style.

Solid design, useful knife, great manufacturer:thumbup:

When all is said and done, the 119 will remain as one of the classics. I seem to have one with me on every trip into the bush and the knife is well liked amongst friends. The blade is light and takes a good edge...the handle is always comfortable. This is Buck's most popular offering in fixed blade format for good reason: it works and is the king of the 'all rounder', the world champ of general purpose hunting blades.

If you watched the Les Stroud series 'Survivorman', you would have caught him carrying one at times.

Has anyone tried reshaping the handle on one of these? How did it come out?
